As a result of those changes people whose broadly defined incomes Are less than $10,000 a year would receive a 75percent average tax reduction under the committee Bill compared with 72 percent under Reagan s. The $20,000-to-$30,000 group would average a 9 percent Cut under the committee plan compared with 9.4 per cent under the president s. Taxpayers above the $200,000 level would receive an average 5.8 percent Cut under the committee plan and 15.1 percent under the president s. Although the present tax overhaul move ment was begun in the name of simplification there is Little simplification for most taxpayers in the committee Bill or Reagan i version.
