A next year s College graduates should find the Job Market slightly better than this year s graduates with the most marked growth in technical Fields according to a National Survey of employ ers. Again this year the largest demand and highest Start ing salaries Are those in the technical Fields said John Shingleton. The 15th annual recruiting trends Survey released monday found thai employers expect to hire 0.4 percent More graduates with Bachelor s degrees next year at Start ing salaries averaging about 1.8 percent More than the current year. Demand remains High for minorities and women according to responses from 7io employers in business Industry government and education. Salary offers vary by academic major but the average starting salary for Bachelor s degree recipients is expected to be s21,601, the Survey showed. Master s degree holders will average $26.010, and those with doctorates will aver age $30,011, according to the Survey. Employers indicated they would hire 3.9 percent More electrical engineers 3.8 percent More computer scientists an additional 3.4 percent mechanical engineers and 3 per cent More Industrial engineers Shingleton said.
