A thirty years after a Black seamstress named Rosa Parks was arrested for re fusing to give up her scat on a City bus to a White Man Many riders still think about her As the Mother of the civil rights  a lot of people Don i think about what life used to be. Parks recounted How she was headed Home from her Job at a downtown department store on dec. I 1955, when the Driver of a City bus ordered her and three other Blacks to move to the Back of the bus where the negro Section was to make room for a while Man. The other three stood up but Parks refused and she was arrested. She was fined $14 but never paid it. Her arrest touched off a Black Boycott of City buses on dec. 5. The 381-Day Boycott organized by King is credited by Many historians with hunching the modern civil rights movement. At the time i was arrested i had no idea it would turn into this Parks s id. But. She said "1 certainly would t change anything in my fight for  Parks an aide to rep. The department store where Parks once worked has moved to the suburbs along with All of the other major downtown Rosa Parks department stores.
