A in males at inc Oklahoma state Penitentiary released seven hostages and ended a siege wednesday after prison officials agreed to listen to grievances which triggered a riot. Three prison officers were stabbed when As Many As Iso inmates rioted tuesday night but the protest ended peace fully. During the two hour meeting in a prison conference room other inmates in two Cal blocks released the hos tages they had taken tuesday. The inmates also were concerned that prison officials planned to move them out of the riot damaged Cellblock and into an antiquated cell House which had been abandoned under a court order. Maynard agreed to allow an observer from the Ameri can civil liberties Union to Monitor the prison s response to inmate grievances. Inmate James Clayton asked Maynard to guarantee that there would be no whippings of inmates or other retribution. I can verify that s not going to happen Maynard said. However Lawrence inmates might be prosecuted for their involvement in the disturbance. The three stabbing victims  Morgan. 33, Tom Braxton 33, and Charles Parker 43 were listed in fair condition wednesday afternoon at Moalc scr regional Hospital. It s going to take time to determine the cause of the crash said Hinton adding that investigators Are examining several possibilities. A spokesman for the engine s manufacturer Douglas aircraft co. Of Long Beach calif., said the company is exploring the thrust revers or theory As a possible explanation for the crash. But some conferees charged that the White House switched positions at the last minute first asking the negotiators to Abol ish the synfuel corp., and then buckling to two Republican senators who want $684 million in previously obligated funds for two contracts before the corporation is Dis banded. Meanwhile inc associated press reported that Senate tax writers indicated wednesday that president Reagan will be disappointed if he expects them to make major changes in the massive tax overhaul plan passed by the House.
