Coming from a family of seven children we did t have much in the Way of material things but my presented us with one of the greatest gifts she possessed. She gave us each a love of the sound of our language the Melody meaning and magic that accompanies the special words and phrases found in children s literature. These Beautiful books gave us a sense of humor wonder and appreciation of the world around us. They took us so Many places and often let us Lake time to be silly in a very serious world. We were spellbound As we walked through the dense Forest with Little red Riding Hood or to the top of my. Crumpet where the Grinch pondered the who s Christmas feast. We Felt the heat from the oven Tiit the Gingerbread Man popped Oul of. And the cold chill of the secret hideaway in he North pole where Rabar finds father Christmas.
