The report shows the army National guard recruited 39,400 new enlistees without previous experience compared to goal of 49,000, while the army Reserve recruited 29,200 new reservists compare to a goal of 33,400. Those totals amount to a 9 percent de Cline for the two army Reserve components in attracting recruits without pre Vious experience. In fiscal 1984, the two Hud attracted 74,500 men and women i that category. On the other hand the National guard signed up 43,500 individuals with prior service compared to a goal of 37,900, an the army Reserve signed up 45,700 men and women with previous experience com pared to a goal of 44,300.
