A top seeded Chris Evert Lloyd swept past Clau Dia Kohide Kilsch on sunday 6-2, 6-4, to win the $150,000 Chrysler Plymouth tournament of champions title. It was Evert Lloyd s first tournament of champions win and Kohide Kilsch s Lith loss against her in 11 meetings. I think she would have a better Chance of beating me on a faster court Evert Lloyd said. The 35-year-old Bradley a loser to Juli Inkster in a playoff for the Dinah Shore title two years ago finished two shots in front of the charging Val skin Ner As Inkster faded from Contention during the final round. Bradley who finished no worse than sixth in the event in the past six years this time was in front from the Start of the $430,000 tournament at Mission Hills country club although she shared the second round Lead with Inkster. She finished at 8-under-Par 280, with cards of 68-72-69-71, to take Home $75,000. Skinner with birdies on four of the last five holes shot a closing 69 to wind up at 282, Good for the $40,000 runner up Check. A Sandy Lyle turned Back Andy bean s bold bid and scored a front running 2 shot Victory sunday in the greater Greensboro open Golf tournament. It s a big hurdle for me the British open Champion said. I be won All Over the world but never Here. One of my problems is believing in myself. I d played some Good Golf in this country but it had t come right. Today it did. It All came  the Scot had won 17 International titles before gaining his first american Victory. Lyle won with a final round 2-under Par 70 and a 275 total 13-under Par to match the record on the Forest Oaks country club course. His four Day total included a 64 in Friday s second round. He hit his approach some 15 feet from the Flag but missed the putt Rais ing his eyes in dismay. Lyle then played the 18th needing Only a Par to win. He birdied instead rapping in a 12-foot putt. Isao Aoki of Japan and Leonard a photo Greensboro Champ Sandy Lyle. Records first american Victory Thompson shared third at 279. Aoki closed up with a 66 that included four birdies in a Row and the Veteran Thompson birdied the 18th for a 69. Lanny Wadkins was next at 69-280. The group at 281 included Payne Stewart Dave Edwards Chip Beck Craig Stadler and Tom Purtzer. Stew Art had a 67, Edwards 68, Beck 69, Stadler 72 and Purtzer 73
