Up fuzzy Zool scr overcame a shaky front nine and rolled in a 12-foot Birdie putt on the final Hole to break a four Way tie Sun Day and win the heritage classic for the second time in four years. Zool scr avoided a playoff against Greg Norman Roger Maltbie and Chip Beck who All finished one shot Back with a masterful second shot at the Par-4 18th that left him 12 feet from the Hole. His third Birdie of the Day gave the 1983 heritage Champi on a Par 71 for the round and a winning total of 276 to claim the $81,000 first prize. Jay Haas shot 71 for a 278 total and fifth place. Zool scr who won at Pebble Beach 11 weeks ago began the Day at 8-under with a two stroke Lead on Beck Norman and Haas. A Doublc-Bogcy-6 at the first Hole and a bogey-4 at no. 4 left Zelier at 39 at the turn but he came Back to Birdie 11 and 14 to go 7-under and pull into a tie with Beck and Maltbie. This is a thinking Man s Golf course with 18 holes that can jump up and bite you said Zelier after sinking his winning putt. The first four holes bit me today. I started out poorly no question about it but i kept on trucking. This in t the Type of course where someone is Gonna run away and  Maltbie who opened with rounds of 67 72-69, parred the first three holes before sinking a Birdie to tie Beck for the Lead. An Eagle-3 at the 528-Yard no. 5 then opened up a two stroke advantage for Maltbie who had t finished in the top 10 in 11 previous tournaments this year. Bucks 111, nets 97 Milwaukee Terry Cummings scored 13 of his 28 Points in the third Quarter As Milwaukee took a 2-0 Lead in their first round Best of five Aba playoff series with new Jersey. The Bucks outscored the nets 36-25 in the crucial third Quarter to take an 85-71 Lead into the final Quarter. The nets Cut the Lead to 95-88 with 6 12 remaining on a Mike Gminski tip in. Defending Champion Bernhard Langer whose third round 64 vaulted him from 12 strokes off the Lead to within five shots had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine to remain at 3-under, but he blew up on the Back Side to finish at 1-Over 285. Tom Purtzer used a 6-Iron at the 170 Yard 17th to make a Hole in one but six bogeys lifted his score to 73 and he ended at 293. Yankees 5, Brewers 4 Milwaukee Dave Winfield scored from second base on Robin Yount s infield error in the 10th inning to give new York a Victory Over Milwaukee. Winfield opened the inning with a double off the left Field Wall against Mark Clear 0-1. Mike easier grounded to Robin Yount who was moved from Center Field to first base to Start the inning. He made a wild throw to Clear As the Pitcher covered the bag allowing Winfield to race Home dear s throw to the plate went to the Backstop sending easier to second. Hubie Brooks received an intentional walk and Wallach lined a Dou ble off the third base bag with the Ball rolling into left Field to score Winingham. Jeff Lahti relieved Horton and walked Andres Galarraga. Vance Law singled in Brooks to make it 2-0. Tibbs 2-0, walked none and struck out five to pitch the first Complete game by a Montreal Pitcher this season. Astros 6, reds 4 Cincinnati Alan Ashby slammed a two run Homer and four Houston pitchers combined on 6 /3 innings of one run Relief As Houston beat Cincinnati and swept their three game series. The astros have won five straight. Mike Madden 1-0, in Relief of Jim Deshaies gave up two hits and one run Over three innings to get the win. Julio Solano yielded two hits Over 2% innings. Jeff Cal Houn pitched 13 innings and Charlie Ker Feld worked the final i inning for his  Ond save. Cubs 8, pirates 8 Chicago the game Between Pitts Burgh and Chicago was suspended because of darkness after 13 innings with the score 8-8. Keith Moreland s two run Homer with two out in the Bottom of the ninth enabled the cubs to tie the score. The game will be resumed in the top of the 14th with the score 8-8, aug. 11 before a regularly scheduled game. Wrigley Field is the Only major league stadium without lights
