Among civilian wives of military personnel three fourths express satisfaction with military Job Security and about half Are satisfied with such other features of military life As the environment for families and medi Cal those and other findings Are contained in a 153-Page study released Friday and based on a Survey of More than 41,000 military spouses overwhelmingly female conducted in he Spring of 1985. Last month the Pentagon released a similar study also conducted in 1985, that focused on the attitude Sand Job satisfaction of men and women in the military. The defense department however has never at tempted such a comprehensive study of military spouses and therefore there Are no earlier studies with which to compare the recent results. According to the Survey the men and women of Wheatl Volant car military Are increasingly Likely to get mar ried. And their spouses Are Likely to be better educated. Fully three fourths of All officers Are married and nearly 60 percent of All enlisted personnel Are mar ried the study found. The study also found that the spouses of enlisted personnel Are More Likely than those of officers to work outside the Home More Likely to be locked into lower paying jobs and More Likely to say they work because they need Money for Basic family expenses.
