The National archives announced that the files of watergate conspirators John Dean and John Ehrlich Raan and those of three other to top lieutenants will be in the first segment to be opened. The documents come from what is called the special files 1.5 million pages of the most sensitive documents accumulated by the Nixon White House in the 5 a years he was in office. Nixon objected to the release of a total of 15,000papers and those Are in the process of being reviewed until their status is determined by an archives review Board. The first files released Are those from which All the documents to which Nixon had objections have been removed. We have informed the archives that if we have by oversight lined a document they believe has the remotest relevance to watergate that they have to inform us immediately and we will come in and withdraw our objection said Nixon attorney Stan Mortensen. Generally these Are items that would involve per Tea privacy he said. The archives said 6 percent of the documents were withdrawn for reasons of National Security personal privacy Federal statute or other restrictions.
