The action will increase the loan limit for single family Homes to slftg.700, up from the current j15.vioo, the changes were announced by the Federal nation Al mortgage association known As Fannie Mac and the Federal Home loan mortgage corp. Known As Freddie Mae. Both institutions Purchase Home Loans from primary lenders such As savings and loan institutions and thus increase inc amount of loan Money available. Primary lenders generally follow these guidelines in order to insure that the Home Loans they finance can be resold in the secondary Market. The maximum loan limit is set annually by both corporations under a formula established by Law which takes into account increases in Home prices for the 12 months ending in october.
