When i first came in the army t had the same feel ing you had. One Day i asked my platoon sergeant Why we had to do police Call three times a Day and Why they were so nit Picky on inspections. His reply was very simple everything we do in the army is a learning experience. We All must have self discipline and pay close attention to detail. Don t look at anything we have to do As a punishment or a waste of a skill look at it As away to Sharpen skills. Let s take police Call As an example of a skill. If we were in a wartime situation we would t want the enemy to know where we were or when we be been. It would be very important to take everything we brought with us. One Little piece of paper or gum could give us away and bring the enemy to us for an attack. Police Call also Sharpen your eyesight on finding Little things so we could overcome the enemy. It also makes our living place a much better place in which to live. Using a mop and Broom is about the same thing. The army is telling us we need self discipline not to just sit around and wait for things to be done for us. By cleaning not Only do you Start establishing self discipline and strict attention to detail but it snows Pride in what you do. You need to take Pride in what you do so you won t have to go Back the second or third time to do something and people will Start looking up  so As you should see picking up trash and cleaning the floors is All part of training. The rest is up to you and your team. Talk to your platoon sergeant or Pla Toon Leader about giving classes. The Best Way to learn and keep on lop or things is to give classes on it Don t just have Clau on what you know almost by heart give classes on things that you Arent so familiar with. By the time you Are ready to give that class you will have Learned something and you will be Able to snare it with your team. Also study things that Don t directly pertain to your military occupational specially. This will make you More proficient in your Job during War and peacetime when you know what the team around you is doing. All this leads to initiative. As i said before you stand around waiting for someone to do the Job for you take things like training upon yourself and get your team involved. As for the  i really can t speak for them because i m not brass but by what i can see they Are very much awake. They Are trying very hard to plan honest training for us.
