A Lance Mehl the new York jets nine year Veteran linebacker said saturday he is retiring because of chronic pain in his surgically repaired Knees. I be been thinking about it for the last three months and decided it was the Best thing to do Mehl said at the team s training Camp at Hofstra University. I can t get rid of the pain in my  i m golfing i feel pain i can t imagine trying to cover somebody. Everybody plays with aches an pains but i have a knifing pain. It hurts too much for me to try.
