Most of the time i love slapping Down my Quarter for a stars and stripes and turning to the letters to the editor to read some interesting problems an debates not this Petty garbage. It sounds like a broken record Over and Over the same complaints. What do you people think that if you change the wording some what that they la print a different answer the one that will satisfy you i guess you could say i m upset and a recent letter is the one that pushed me Over the Side. The writer stated the real Mission of our commis Saries and cafes is to make us appreciate America More and to do that they re making us live like russians and no other americans Are privileged As we Are to experience what life in a soviet style econ omy is really  he also mentioned most of the people he know cannot wait to leave the european theater because of their dissatisfaction with the same facilities. We All at one time or another have been dissatisfied because the Supply and demand in t what or How we like it but to make those statements is ludicrous and uncalled for. We All should feel sorry for those stationed in a Remote site where there is no sup port. We All know life overseas is difficult and we mus learn to adjust to it. We Are Here for a purpose and it s not to act like spoiled immature adolescent when we Don t get what we want. It s time to grow up boys and girls. Keep in mind we make these sacrifices for our loved ones so we May keep the Freedom we have Here in Western Europe and especially Back Home. As an cafes employee we Deal with Mili tary and civilian personnel daily. I really get disgusted with All the comments that Are made in the stars and stripes every Day. A lot of the gripes Are with civilians. We Are Here mainly forthe military personnel and we try very hard to serve All Well but it s hard when customers complain that they wish they were in the real  but the real world would t take the trash that we take. The reason for this letter is to Back myself fellow employees and our management. We try so hard to do our very Best to please everyone. I agree thata Afes has its faults but if it was t for cafes All of you would be paying triple on the Economy. If you All would put yourselves in our places an realize the work and responsibilities we share you might Pat us on the Back instead of criticizing us Al the time. My opinion is that cafes does a great Job and i Honor what we All do. A. The Good news is that the military in Europe never had it so Good. If you Don t like the wonderful euro Pean culture food and living you can confine your self to base and eat american food see american movies and never know that you Are in a foreign country. Remember there Are some assignments that have none of these benefits. Griffiths and his Crew go out of their Way to have the Best and the most for Jayhawk soldiers and their families. Frau Schupp at the Burger bar has the Best tasting Afes food in Vii corps. The Kelley commissary is a Well kept secret Patch and Robinson Barracks May have the new ones but Kelley has the Best. Rick Malone Stuttgart West Germany recently i took a late lunch and on my Way to meeting stopped by the Heidelberg main Exchange to get a Battery for my watch. It must have been the Dayto replace watch and calculator batteries. The sales lady behind the jewelry counter was Tak ing care of another customer when i arrived so i patiently awaited my turn. My turn of let see if we have the Battery before taking the watch apart. We do Good watch conies apart sales lady replaces Battery now comes the fun customer attempts to put the watch Back together. Let s watchband see about  Ohye of Little patience. If the lord wanted me to have patience he would have made me a doctor forget this i was so impatient and frustrated i was ready to trash the watch and Buya new one. Now re enter the sales lady talk about patience and perseverance this lady has lots of both while taking care of me and other customers with similar problems she maintained an air of Calm i Haven t seen for a Long time from a salesperson. Forty five minutes later the watch was t co operating and i Don t know How Many customers i had a watch again the sales lady was still waiting on customers still smiling and it Cost me a whopping Buck Twenty i paid thanked her for her time Effort and patience and then left for my meeting As she continued replacing batteries. But she deserves much More than that. Cafes takes enough hits they should be Given attaboy girls too i want to publicly thank Franciska for the Hel she provided and the image she portrayed she greatly enhanced that cafes image for me and surely All other customers she serves. For Franciska a customer s satisfaction is her first consideration. Thanks again Franciska. Dear Ann Landers i have been hearing several late night radio hosts say they be Lieve Elvis Presley is alive. I for one am convinced that he is.
