The Cavaliers troubled in the first half by the knicks1 rapping defense turned up their own defensive pressure to hold off a new York rally in the fourth Quarter. Alex English had 21 Points and Michael Adams had 16 and extended his record Streak to 74 consecutive game with a 3-Point Basket. Suns 107, heat 99 Phoenix Tom Chambers scored23 Points Eddie Johnson 20 and Armon Gillian 19 As Phoenix survived a late Miami rally to beat the heat for its 11th straight Home Victory. Phoenix now 14-2 on its Home floor this season led 91-68 with 9 37 remain ing in the game and 105-88 with 2 33 left before the expansion heat mounted comeback. Hornets 107, bullets 104 Charlotte . Rex Chap Man made a 3-Point shot with 10 seconds left and Michael Holton added two free throws with one second rom airing As Charlotte held off Washington. The expansion hornets improved to8-8 at Home. They Are 1-14 on the Road. Robert Reid s Layup gave Charlotte a 91-75 Lead with 9 23 left before washing ton went on a 17-4 burst behind Bernard King. San Antonio 104, Golden state 102 Oakland Calif. Willie Ander son matched his career High with 36 Points and fellow Rookie Vernon Max Well hit the game winning shot with four seconds remaining As san Antonio Defeated Golden state. Maxwell had a career High 20 Points and 11 assists As the spurs snapped a seven game Road losing Streak. San Anto Nio is now 2-12 away from Home this season. The spurs took a 102-100 Lead on a pair of free throws by Frank Brickowski with 31 seconds remaining. But Golden state tied the score with 23 seconds left on a jumper by its Star Rookie Mitch Richmond who scored All 21 of his Points in the second half. The warriors who were led by Chris Mullins with 27 Points and Larry Smith with 18 rebounds shot Only 37.3 percent from the Field. Golden state had won seven of its previous eight Home games. The Start of game was delayed 75 min utes when the Bucks plane from Washington could not land in Milwaukee be cause of fog. Rangers extend unbeaten Streak to 7 by the associated press Uniondale . Carey Wilson continued his Strong play with a second period goal As the new York rangers extended their unbeaten Streak to seven games with a 5-1 Victory Over the new York islanders sat urday. Canadians 3, Bruins 1 Montreal Brian Skrudland scored one goal and set up another to help Montreal stretch its winning Streak to nine games with a Victory Over Boston. Chris Chelios and Peter Svoboda also scored for the canadians who extended their domination of the Bruins this season to 5-0-1, including five straight Vic tories. Montreal now 21 Points ahead of second place Boston in the Adams division has outscored the ruins 18-7. Flames 7, oilers 2 Calgary Alberta Doug Gilmour and Rookie Theoren Fleury scored twice As Calgary trounced Edmonton.
