Kru Shelyski scored the seventh goal of the period with a 20-foot wrist shot at 16 16 to tie the game. Allison had gotten his second goal of the night on a Power play at 14 56. Mckey followed with a Basket and seven foul shots for a 94-81 Lead. Billy Thompson scored 19 Points for the heat which fell to 4-38. Bulls 109, Kings 98 Chicago Michael Jordan held to nine first half Points scored 31 in the second half As Chicago beat Sacramento. The Kings now 3-21 on the Road opened a 55-46 Lead Early in the third Quarter before Jordan sparked a 22-7 run with a 15-Point barrage giving the bulls a 68-62 advantage. Nuggets 112, Hawks 103 Denver Alex English scored 36 Points and fat lever recorded his fourth triple double of the season As Denver held off a fourth Quarter Atlanta rally for a Victory. Atlanta which played without injured Dominique Wilkins pulled within 99-98 with 2 03 to play after trailing by As Many As 20 Points Early in the third Quarter. Warriors 127, nets 113 Oakland Calif. Mitch Rich mond had 32 Points and nine rebounds and Terry Teagle got 22 Points and 10 rebounds As Golden state beat new Jer sey for its seventh straight Victory. Lester Conner had his first career triple double for the nets with 13 Points a career High 11 rebounds and 13 assists. Purdue upsets no. 2 Illinois by the associated press West Lafayette ind. Melvin Mccants scored 12 of his 16 Points in the second half and Purdue made 61 per cent of its shots to upset no. 2 Illinois 76-72 in big ten play thursday night. The boilermakers torrid shooting kept them in Contention in a game that was tight All the Way with neither team leading by More than five Points. Purdue broke a four game slide. It took the biggest Lead of the second half at 69-65 on Ryan Berning s two free throws with 2 31 remaining then held off the Zillini. Cal fell to 14-7 Overall and 5 5 in league play. No. 20 Stanford 75, Arizona St. 60 Tempe Ariz. Todd Lichti scored 11 of his 30 Points during an 18-5 spurt in the second half and became the Sec Ond leading scorer in Pacific-10 games As Stanford beat undermanned Arizona state. The Cardinal 16-5 Overall and 8-3 in league play struggled to a 25-21 halftime Lead despite Lichti s 17 Points. They College basketball made 39 percent of their shots 9-for 23 and had 11 turnovers. No. 18 West Virginia 79, Rhode Island 71 Kingston . The Victory was the 15th straight for the mountaineers 16-2 Overall and 10-0 in the conference and set a school record of eight straight victories on the Road. Rhode Island 8-10 and 4-6, was led by Eric Leslie s 16 Points and John Evans 15. The rams Kenny Green who was averaging 14 Points a game scored nine All in the first half. Chris Brooks added 16 for West Vir Ginia. Herbie Brooks scored 14.
