The Fra also announced that it has begun inspections of 20 leading drug companies that manufacture generic products. It said the inspections do not result from allegations of wrongdoing. Fra said the inspections arc not related to its investigation of 11 generic drug firms for possible violations of Federal safety and production regulations. That it will propose withdrawal proceedings for several of their previously approved applications. The announcement said the action would essentially end their permission to make these the Agency said the action against Par involved three applications covering orphan Gusic tablets.
