Economy still expanding reports note Washington a unemployment held steady at 5.2 percent last month As the surprisingly robust econ omy added More than 200,000 jobs the government said Friday in a report that prompted forecasts that the record Long expansion will soon reach its eighth anniversary. The labor department s official Fig ure for non farm payroll expansion last month was 110,000 jobs.
