My husband loves his Job except when he hits a car. Most Railroad ers know it s Only a matter of time because it happens to All of them sooner or  husband s time came yesterday. He is sick at heart but there was no Way he could have avoided tha Accident. Two people died because the Driver ignored the flashing signals and the whistles. It s so easy to misjudge the Speed of a train in the distance. I Nave stopped at Crossings and wailed while other cars passed me and went Over the tracks. Some of those cars missed being hit by  can a train Stop in time to prevent an Acci Dent. What s More a Small car that gets hit can derail a train and injure or kill the Crew. I be been in the army for Over five years three years As an enlisted Soldier and two years As an officer. This is my first overseas tour. I would like to remind com Manders and chaplains to take a few minutes and identify who your jewish soldiers arc. In the past five years i be had mixed experiences. Some commanders or chaplains knew i was jewish others have not. Most of the time i informed them i was jewish. There exist differences Between christianity and Judaism. There Are also Many other religions in the world. No one can be expected to know everything about religion. However if you have a Soldier who practices a particular religion take a few minutes and learn about it. As a platoon Leader i have Many Young soldiers in my platoon. Many Are away from Home for the first time. Many do not own cars. Many will be spending their first Christmas away from Home. None of my soldiers Are jewish moslem Buddhist hindu Etc. However if you have a jewish Soldier in your unit when they win they win Only a few minutes.
