The fact that she kept her father in a plastic Box next to her bed was Only the beginning piece of idiocy in this series which was sensibly sent into the outer space of cancellation in its first season but not soon enough to keep it from Landing briefly Here. The Best Frank s place do you know what it Means to miss new Orleans those words Sung by Louis Armstrong started each of the painfully few episodes of this show about an upwardly Mobile northerner trying to run a new Orleans restaurant. And anyone who saw this series abruptly cancelled probably knows what it Means to miss the City the characters and the Charm of one of the Best shows Ever. Tour of duly yes the show was better before the scriptwriters moved the action out of the Jungle and into Saigon and yes All this Romance and women characters and so Forth is just a poor attempt to do what China Beach is doing better. Tour of duty though is still the first and Best series to show War As it is week after grim and engrossing week. China Beach this is Battle and its aftermath As seen through the eyes mostly of women and it s a unique picture. Dana Delany deservedly won an emmy this year for her portrait of a human being staring straight into the madness of the War. Max headroom real absorbing science fiction is fairly rare in movies and it s even rarer in television. This Short lived show picked up where Star trek left off and even Star trek the next generation did not dare to go it created a believable fascinating world of the future and credible endearing and horrifying characters to go with it. Murphy Brown this is television for people who Don t watch television humor for people who thought they d watched their last sitcom clearly the funniest Bunch of characters to be put together since the Mary Tyler Moore show.
