Because of my traumatic childhood i Don t like to be touched or hugged especially by women. It was my Mother who beat me most often 1 realize this sounds strange but please hear me put. I recently joined a Church study group. The people there Are Friendly and i feel comfortable with them until it is time to leave. Then there is a lot of hugging kissing touching and patting. When this occurs. I get upset and want to run out of the place. Later i become depressed than angry with my Mother for having done this to me. I try to prevent people from hugging me by sending nonverbal messages such As extending my hand Tor a handshake but one particular woman insists on Corning up from behind and hugging. This is extremely upsetting. In the past i have yelled at people and on one Occa Sion i struck the offender. I apologized and ran out of the place in tears. I am seeing a therapist who has advised me to Tell these people that i am an adult survivor of abuse and Don t want to be touched. Although i have Confidence in her judgment i cannot bring myself to reveal my  can t be the Only person in the world who suffers with this problem so will you please print this letter and help us All oddball in the Midwest dear Midwest most folks. Last weekend was the second time this year that we were called to the scene of a serious car Accident. Both accidents were caused by the ignition being turned off while the car was in motion. The steering column locked and the car could not be controlled. In the first Accident. Mom. Dad and Junior were Riding in an open roadster when mom complained that her feet were getting too hot from the engine heat. Dad turned off the ignition to shut her up figuring he d Lethe car Roll downhill a bit. The steering column locked and they slowed into a flatbed truck. Junior was thrown out of the car. Mom and dad were pinned in. They All survived but suffered serious injuries. The car was totalled. In the second Accident a teen age couple was having an argument. The girl turned off the ignition in an attempt to Stop the car. The steering locked the car went into a Ravine and rolled Over. They too survived but both were seriously injured. Ann. Please warn your readers never to turn off the ignition when they Are driving. If they need to make an emergency Stop they should use the brakes or Down shift or coast in Neutral but never turn the key until the car is stopped. I think something must be wrong if the govern ment has a contract with a Carrier to transport pos or household goods and the property gets damaged. Ina Case such As mine it was a 4-month-old car with no deficiencies. The government and i should not have to split the repair Cost. The contracted Carrier should pay the full amount. When a car is bought from cafes the car arrives without damage. Why not give the contract to cafes i see my tax dollars going Down the Drain. Come on Uncle Sam we can do better than this. My question is Why should i have to Settle for the $1,000 from the government when the Carrier should be held responsible for the entire amount if i destroy government property i Don t have the option to decide How much i will pay the government.
