Durtschi who pilots f-4 phantoms flew Down the Kreuz Zankl course in a combined time of 46.81 seconds capturing the opening event of the Safe ski championships by a nose Over Simbach s Pat Arnony 47.13 and Wiesbaden s Jim Ouellette 47.37. Flew make that charged through a Hail of Gates. The third Gate smacked Durts Chi Between the eyes on his first run. That opened cuts on his forehead and the Bridge of his nose. The biggest problem Durtschi Saidt was my nose was bleeding and i was gagging on blood the whole Way  if that weren t enough to get Durtschi s blood boiling his Gog Gles were pushed up his head. I was More bleeped off than anything he said. That charged me up and 1 Tore after it after  Durtschi carried his Mcaa racing experience Down the 29-Gate first run. Despite a bloodied face and knee Brace that made him look like i Jim and the Battle of first run the former University of Wyomi Gracer clocked 22.04. It s a rough sport said Durtschi. If Ouellette had stopped Short of the finish line he would have been allowed to race the same run again according to armed forces recreation Cen Ter race coordinators.
