Frank Horton r-n.y., noted that there has already been a $10 million Cost overrun in completion of the first two Bsy-2 systems. Pending congressional approval the Navy plans to buy 29 sea wolfs by 2000 at an estimated Cost of $44 billion. Defense Secretary Dick Cheney is conducting a detailed review of the need for sea Wolf and is expected to present findings next month. Conyers said the problems with the sea Wolf program discovered by the subcommittee and the Gao will be a part of Cheney a review.
