Nine French tourists and a jordanian photographer were Hurt in the attack near the roman Amphitheater in downtown Amman. Jordan a King Hussein and Crown Prince Hassan rushed to the Hospital where four of the tourists and the photographer were admitted. At least one tourist was reported to be in critical condition. The gunman boarded the parked bus which had 30 tourists on it and a threatened to shoot if anybody moved a said a police official who cannot be identified by name under standing regulations. In an official announcement the Interior ministry said the gunman fired until he ran out of ammunition then continued his attack with a Dagger before surrendering to police. See Jordan on Back Page Dod official unveils proposed child care rates by Deedee Arrington Doke staff writer Willinger West Germany a parents with children at military care centers would pay Between $31 and $74 per week for the service under new rates proposed by the Pentagon. If approved the new fees will mean savings of about $50 a month for those paying the lowest rate currently available at army child care centers in Europe. The new rate Structure would mean an increase of about $70 per month for those paying the highest fee now charged. Gail Mcginn who Heads the Pentagon a family policy office disclosed details of the proposal monday during a talk at the american women a activities Germany conference in Willinger. Mcginn said the proposal still must be approved by Christopher John of defense for Force manage the assistant ment Secretary each family a combined income will determine the amount they pay under the new plan. Installation commanders will set fees within a $10 Range for each of four income categories. There will be a provision to allow families a Price break if they have More than one child Mcginn said. A we wanted to leave some leeway a Mcginn said. The proposed payment plan is one result of the military child care act of 1989, which Congress approved last november. Army child care centers in Europe currently charge Between $176 and $224 per child per month for full time care. A Range for air Force centers was not immediately available.
