She Hasni to dated in several months because she would prefer to be with me More than any of the Young men she knows. I love her company and am not interested in anyone else. Can a Man legally marry his daughter please do not publish my name As this is a very controversial subject and i done to want to be harassed. . Does the old testament say anything about this a or. Dear or. A according to John Beckstrom professor of family Law Northwestern University Law school it is not Legal anywhere in the United states for a father and daughter to knowingly marry each other. Such a marriage would not be valid. In fact in Many states the father would be prosecuted for criminal incest. You asked about the old testament the Book of Leviticus makes it abundantly Clear that it is a sin to approach a any that is near of although you did no task for my opinion or. X., i feel compelled to say both you and your daughter sound As if you Are two sandwiches Short of a picnic. Your letter is one of the sickest in be read in years. If you want Jean to have a decent life please get her into counselling and find a woman who is suitable for marriage. Dear Ann Landers Here is my response to the Chicago Tribune Reader who asked you to print an open letter to her friends and relatives who Are nagging her to quit smoking. Dear smoker you say you know All about the health hazards of smoking and that you want your friends to Stop bugging you to quit. You offered to make a Deal. You promised to keep quiet when you see the third chunk of butter and a Dollop of sour Cream on your friends baked potato or the scoop of ice Cream on her piece of Pecan pie. You feel it is a fair Trade for not being harassed about smoking. Sony dear your reasoning is badly flawed. What i eat affects Only me. Your secondhand smoke could cause cancer or heart trouble for those who have to breathe the air you pollute. I am violently allergic to tobacco smoke and you have no right to inflict your vice on me. Its perfectly All right with me if you choose to kill yourself but i refuse to give up breathing while you re doing it so please take that stinking cigarette outside. A healthy lungs in Hayward Calif. Dear Hayward hundreds of readers had plenty to say about this but you said it Best and i thank you. Creators Syndicate i am a department of the army civilian employee. During my last in Usa eur permanent change of station pcs move i noticed that my seven years of cumulative retirement contributions went to Zero. When i asked the 266th theater finance office what happened i was told that these funds had been a a retired and sent to the office of personnel management. I was also told there was nothing that the 266th could do to fix this error and that i would have to wait until i retired to Correct it. I am not eligible to retire for another 18 years and done to feel comfortable with the idea that some bureaucrat in the year 2008 will know what i am talking about or that if something happened to me that my family get shorted. I wish someone from the 266th would help me Correct this problem now. A name withheld Vicenza Italy editors note a John Gillam acting chief Star tips accounting division 266th finance replies we Are pleased for the Opportunity to address this situation in the stars and stripes since the Issue mentioned is not an isolated Case but applies to Many Usa eur civilian employees. This employee transferred from Kaiserslautern to Vicenza Italy on april 27, 1989 however he was terminated by mistake and As a result his Standard form of 2806, retirement record reflecting retirement deductions made during each Calendar year and cumulative amounts was produced and forwarded to the office of personnel management pm on Register pm 89180 dated May 22,1989 copies sent to employee. When an employee is separated from this payroll i am writing you in regards to the recent Doones Bury cartoon strip. I must say that i am really surprised that the stars and stripes would run the cartoon strip that thumbed its nose at our governments Art policy. Secondly the cartoon was totally inappropriate. Even though it did not come right out and show the lady naked it did its Best to reveal More than should have been shown in a cartoon strip. The doonesbury strip i know is supposed to be an adult cartoon strip but it is run on the Page next to the other cartoons. Children of All Ages can just turn to it and see this strip. You done to have to be Able to read to see what the cartoon was doing. I must say that i am very disappointed in you and your newspaper for running such filth. Its not fair to office an of 2806 card is automatically produced. This office will then audit the personnel folder to ensure that the retirement records Are Correct. If no error is found we Forward the retirement records to either pm in Case of terminations resignations or to the gaining army payroll office for transfers. This Only applies to civil service retirement system cars employees As All Federal employees retirement system fers records Are automatically sent to pm As per regulations if at the time of auditing we Are unable to locate the of 50, notification of personnel action stating where the new duty station is we will Contact the losing civilian personnel office and ask them if they can Supply that information. If not we have no alternative but to Send the records to pm. It would seem that this procedure was not followed in this Case and As a result the records were forwarded directly to pm. Once at pm the records Are kept. Pm will not return erroneously sent records until the employee either retires or requests a refund. An employee May at any time write to pm and have them confirm that the records Are with them. They will state How much Money they have received and the period of service it covers. An employee May also request photocopies of the retirement records from his her losing finance office which is the 266th theater finance command for Usa eur employees. We Hope we were Able to provide All interested readers and of course the individual inquiring about this matter with a satisfactory response and Trust that the information above leads to a better understanding of circumstances surrounding the processing of retirement actions. Those people who stand for decency and have no other Choice but to read the stars and stripes. A newspaper that uses the attributes of our american Flag should take better care of what it prints in it. I know that you have the Freedom of speech but i believe that those who wrote that amendment would say different if they were alive today. I believe with the right to Freedom of speech you have a responsibility to the people. And by running the doonesbury cartoon strip you told the american government what you thought of its policy also. I Hope that in the future you try and be a Little More responsible in what you print. I am not trying to Tell you what to print. All i am asking is that you use better judgment in what you think makes a Good cartoon. A the Rev. William l. Whittenberge or.
