Dear Lakeland i received several clippings re porting that incident and like the readers who sent them in a having a hard time believing that such a thing could happen. But it did. The surgeons Bill Hadnot been submitted yet. If this Isnit a perfect argument for Hospital a and physician a Cost containment i done to know what is. Dear Ann Landers my Boyfriend is chinese. Doing what his family asks is very important to him. We be been going together for almost three years and have discussed marriage. We realize however that we must wait until we finish College. A a Lee is 20 years old and has two years to go. The problem is that Leeds Uncle has asked Lee to Many his daughter so she can stay in America As a Legal . Citizen. Lee does no to want to do this but his family is pushing him very hard. It is understood that Lee will not have to live with this girl nor will he have any financial obligation to her. His Uncle will pay for everything. Lee realizes it is risky but another relative did the same thing last year and did no to get into trouble. I know How important it is to respect the wishes of the family but this does no to sound right and it is keeping me up nights. Lee says if i love him i will understand his need to do this and he has promised to get a divorce after two years. Please Ann Tell me if i should agree to this plan even though my heart and my head say it is wrong. Sadness in san Francisco dear san Francisco under no conditions should you go along with this scheme. While it is important to be respect til of his family a wishes Lee certainly has an obligation to you. Should he disregard your pleading and marry the girl my advice is to treat him like any other married Man. Declare him a off limits and look elsewhere. Gem of the Day from focus at amp to a employee Magazine a your recent Issue reported last years earnings per share was $1.88 billion. The addition of a a billion was a typesetters error. We apologize for any ecstasy the error May have those who question the services Given by the Aschaffenbur recreation services have never had the problem of operating without their services. I am an old timer who was in charge of one of the first communities to introduce the Ceramic program into Usa eur. As Schaffenburg depot at that time did not have any Ceramic supplies. First problem i had to order 1,100 Gallons of Ceramic slip at one time because the Vendor Only sold in units of one Semi Load. Second problem where to store All of this slip which requires above freezing space i ended up using a jail cell. Third problem All of the Ceramic glazes cover Coats brushes Etc. Had to be ordered at a six month Stockage level because of the time to process orders and distance from Vendor to sales Point 6,000 Miles. All of the above problems were eliminated when the Aschaffenbur recreation depot began to carry these very popular crafts supplies. The effect on the crafts recreation user has been to have supplies when required because the Vendor now Aschaffenbur depot was near enough for fast replenishment when the need arose. Closure of the recreation depot would not Only affect the Usa eur crafts program but also All other recreation activities. Which is the More logical method of supplying recreation activities have 15 military communities Send 15 Purchase orders to a Vendor or have one source order for All 15 communities baseball and football uniforms Are difficult to obtain Here in Europe and one mistake by a Vendor could mean these highly used supplies would not make it in time from 5,000 Miles away. Playhouses will have to ask for a costume maker for each Community instead of the ones now working at the recreation depot. All outdoor recreation centers will have to Stock More equipment because fat items will not be replaced a it seems that the Only time i write letters to this paper its to protest unfair treatment. In be been teaching business and management courses these past two years with one of the universities that supports our troops. The pay Isnit very much a about $10 per hour counting preparation and grading time. One definitely can to support a family on that wage unless he a teaching three or More classes per eight week term. Very few instructors Are Able to get that much class time so most of us need other Means of support. There is or has been one True Benefit a logistical support. Not any More however for those of us who work on the Economy to put food on the table. The contract administrators at aces in Heidelberg have told the school administrators that the contract specifies that unless one works 100 percent for the . Forces he is not entitled to logistical support. Its a great Choice Isnit it work 100 percent at trying to provide the education our troops so dearly need and starve your family or find additional work and lose logistical support. I enjoy teaching. I teach the troops and their spouses. Why should i be denied logistical support just because i have another Job in a properly registered. I pay taxes to the German government. Why should i be treated differently than the hundreds of spouses who work on the Economy yet retain All id card privileges i and the idly As in the past. All expendable supplies will have to be purchased at a higher Cost. I sincerely recommend reconsideration of the decision to close the recreation support depot in Aschaffenbur because i know what it is like to not have its outstanding support. A Alfred g. The Overall reduction of the . Forces presence in Europe and the closure of a number of communities to include Aschaffenbur makes change necessary in the Way mar support is provided. A Sarusce phaseout is a part of this change. Its phaseout is planned Over a period of about one year. This will allow for an orderly transition to new support alternatives. The change is predicated on commander in chief Europe guidance to ensure we continue to offer Quality mar programs As the forces Are reduced. Support alternatives in the Large part will be based on contracts whereby communities May directly order their requirements. The contracts in Many cases will be with the same suppliers used by a Sarusce and at similar favourable prices. Ordering for direct delivery to communities will be an advantage Over the current delivery system. The future system for support of Community mar Supply and service requirements will make better planning necessary. We believe the mar program managers of today Are fully capable of meeting this Challenge. We appreciate the writers interest and concern about mar in Usa eur. The nato status of forces supplementary agreement an International agreement Between the United states and Federal Republic of Germany allows logistical support Only for those individuals who Are employed exclusively by the contracted academic institution. Many individuals . And German citizens fully employed outside the . Forces Are employed As Par time instructors by . Academic institutions. These individuals provide an invaluable service to our soldiers and family member students. As much As we appreciate this service we Are nonetheless unable to allow logistical support to be provided to these individuals.
