The biggest shebang of the year came in july when Roger Waters formerly of Pink Floyd staged the legendary Rock opera Quot the Wall Quot at the Wall in Berlin. A reported 300,000-plus music fans came from around the world to see Waters and guests Van Morrison Cyndi _ Lauper Bryan Adams Sinead o Connor Joni Mitchell. And others put on what was to be the largest audio and visual production in the history of Rock n Roll the rest of the year saw some big Nam Sand big Tours too. The rolling stones brought a scaled Down version of their stateside Quot steel wheels Quot tour renaming it Quot Urban Jungle Quot for their european fans it was the Rock n Roll veterans first tour of Europe in eight years.
