Racism and discrimination have absolutely no place in today a society and especially in the armed services. The promotion system in the army both civilian and military seems to work just Fine in my opinion and in the opinion of others. It sounds As if or. Fletcher would like to see certain percentages of different minorities promoted each promotion period. This is rumoured to be the Case with a level promotions. The army is an equal Opportunity employer. However promoting minorities on a percentage basis would mean Many Whites being passed up for promotion just because of color regardless of the fact that their qualifications for promotion outweigh those of the minority.
