When i attended Roth Advance Camp after four years As an enlisted infantryman i was a Little curious As to How All these women would do in the Camp a particularly the infantry skills especially in the ice cold Rivers and ant infested thick Woods of fort Lewis. Granted we had the one who was on profile every monday dancing every Friday and the one who also used her gender to have the Guys carry her gear a neither one 1 cared much for. We also had a number of a a Macho men doing the same thing. We had to do a Point re con and since i had experience Wilh this 1 was tasked with actually doing it while the platoon stayed at the rally Point. My partner s name was Jean a that a right a woman i determined that the Best Way to go was through a very thick thorny Patch As it provided me with a lot of concealment and Only a nut would go through it. We Are encouraged to separate recyclable refuse and Deposit it into the proper containers Lor pickup. The germans have made this chore extremely easy for us by placing clearly marked containers on every Corner literally in the housing area and by placing several additional dumpsters for cardboard Glass and tin All Over the housing area. All we have to do is separate the trash into containers in our Homes carry it out the door and drop it into the Correct dumpster. This is then used on local Fields and vineyards in lieu of chemical fertilizers. Of course the recyclable materials Are taken and recycled. Now we come to the real Point of my letter. I am venting my anger disappointment and discouragement and perhaps a bit of shame. I am appalled and embarrassed by the Mounds of trash and refuse lying on the sidewalks in the housing area. Another tactic to avoid the task of separation is to put All the trash into one big bag and put it All into non Bio. I witnessed an example of this at our local Burger King when a teen Ager could not bother to put her plastic in one can and paper in another. One woman was seen putting a Large plastic bag of trash in my buildings biodegradable bin and was pointed toward the Correct Container. She remarked a Well there a already a plastic bag in the Bio  what the Heck Why not add to it right Why must the responsibilities always fall on the shoulders of that elusive character a the other Guy one can always find an excuse for not doing what needs to be done. If you Are not following the trash separation and recycling Laws you re making excuses not to mention Lazy.
