I perceive the problems Here exist within the top level of the Chain of command in the Community recreation division. Unfair unequal treatment must be stopped at this level. I realize first and Foremost that the army made no guarantee to my husband that i would find employment in Europe. What i did not expect were the technicalities involved. I feel i have experienced it All. I org Nally took a non appropriated fund Job in april 1989 after being briefed by Fulda co that i would not be utilizing my spouse preference. It was explained to me that spouse preference was Only being utilized for appropriated fund jobs. Then came the Job freeze in january 1990. Under the freeze spouse preference was taken away from those currently employed. This included jobs with non appropriated funds and cafes. I was selected for a is position and offered the Job by co before it became aware i had utilized my spouse preference. This happened when i requested to give my current employer two weeks notice. Before i could blink an Eye the Job offer was revoked. Well this year my non appropriated fund Job was abolished. Because we Are not using the word Quot riffed but instead a displaced a 1 entered into another period of uncertainty and frustration. I watched jobs 1 was overqualified for go to employees with far less experience and qualifications.
