He Felt that the creators of the cartoon were delivering a anti Hunting propaganda to the Young and to the people who have never enjoyed the sport of  but the writer missed the Point. The cartoon was not slamming a a True Hunters such As he admits to be. The cartoon was exaggerating the recent stateside craze of outfitting companies that sell packaged deals of catered Hunting. Unlike a a True Hunters these once in a life time Hunters pay outrageous Money to be clothed rented rifles driven to a Sweet spots a and pampered like the experienced Macho outdoors men that they have always wanted to be. The writers uninformed comment about Peta people for the ethical treatment of animals being a a Nincompoop anti Hunting organization is Way wrong. Like Many a a animal organizations Peta advocates the ethical and humane treatment of All animals. This includes better care of Laboratory animals exposing factory farming for meat and fur promoting vegetarianism fighting to outlaw recreational Slaughter like the infamous Pennsylvania 4th of july Dove shoot and Many other similar activities. They especially complain about such incidents As what the a True Quot Hunters did to the Herd of Deer As reported in the oct. 17 stars and stripes. I have resolved myself to the fact that Hunting will always be with us. 1 do appreciate those Hunters who Hunt with sensitivity and compassion for animals. In conversations with avid Hunters they admit to being very conscious about animal suffering and make every Effort to make their shots instantly lethal. They kill no More than they need and they Are particularly respectful of the game Laws. These Hunters Are also conscious of the fact that organizations like Peta Greenpeace and society of the prevention of cruelty to animals Spca have valid arguments that should not be ridiculed. You obviously have no compassion for us single soldiers who have been subjected to a double Standard for years. While we were required to keep our rooms in a High state of police at All times have no More than a six pack of Beer in our rooms and have no visitation by females our married counterparts Many of whom Are Junior to us in age and rank had no such limitations. This was patently unfair thus the change. I am shocked that you seem to suggest that we single soldiers should be treated As children. Yes some single soldiers Are alcoholics. So Are some married soldiers. Allowing or not allowing alcohol in the Barracks will not change that. You also said that single soldiers have nothing to spend Money on but a alcohol snacks clothes and  Well some of us pay child support too. And its really none of your business How i spend my meager earnings. You also said there will be More instances of rape and adultery. Can a woman not be raped anywhere is it Only the single soldiers fault in cases of adultery you went on to say the army is not serious when it comes to disciplining soldiers. Being the Legal clerk for this battalion i can say without hesitation that you were wrong there. Single soldiers in this command who violate the Ucma uniform code of military Justice have always been disciplined and usually More harshly than married soldiers including restriction to Barracks which usually does not apply to the Soldier living off Post.
