Do soldiers not get into trouble with alcohol and females outside of the Barracks done to you think these soldiers Are entitled to a personal life after All the Barracks Are their Home. Soldiers should be judged on an individual basis. If and when these cases do arise treat each incident separately. It does not take Quot Laws to produce alcoholics or rape and adultery cases. It is every soldiers responsibility to conduct him or herself in a proper manner while upholding an image favourable to the army. We have Many different problems to Deal with in the army. I done to see this As something with huge potential for trouble. Try worrying about the single soldiers morale. Barracks Arentt the greatest place to live. A pvt. 2 Heather Donaby Baum Holder Germany inadequate description when i read the article about tour bus accidents in the oct. 18 edition i laughed out loud. The manager of the Ramstein Vogel Weh joint itt offices mentioned the bus incident on the Way to oktoberfest. She said they had a mechanical it was a Little More than mechanical problems. We ended up careening off the autobahn through a Cornfield Over a ditch and crashing into a Bunch of Trees. It was a double Decker bus and for a few horrifying moments it Felt like the whole bus was going to flip on its Side. The whole front of the bus was smashed and the floor of the bus was impaled by a tree stump that we had to step Over to exit the bus. Right after the crash we could smell the tires smoking and tried to leave but the closest exit door was jammed. When we realized that there was no danger we tried to stay in our seats and remain Calm. When we finally did exit the bus to Board another one and saw the damage we All just kind of looked at each other in a Daze not believing that we All got out without any serious injuries. God was definitely with us. For those of us on the bus that Day it was much More than just a mechanical Anne f. Griffith Sembach a Germany problems with prejudice its bad enough to be stationed overseas away from family and Good friends. I am new to the military lifestyle and i am very disappointed. This is my first tour with my husband and i have to say 1 Hope i never see another place like this or meet people like in be met Here. I m 31 and in be never known prejudice was such a problem. I have seen people pick their friends by color and rank. I have always been Able to detect those who were my friends and those who weren to but that is very difficult to do Over Here. 1 would think being in a foreign country that we would All be closer. But i guess by being a different color or different rank it makes being close impossible. I live on the Economy and have lots of american neighbors but you would never know it. I feel heart that if everyone every color every rank would pull together and Stop being so prejudiced we could make this world a better and More caring place. If not for ourselves then lets do it for our children. How can taking the life of an unborn child be a privilege a woman May have the right to choose How to live her own life but the baby is not her body it is a separate body altogether. Who defends its life military hospitals should not be allowed to perform abortions. Our tax dollars should not be used to pay for killing unborn children. They done to use tax dollars for that in the United states Why should they do it overseas a Racquel de Anda Niernberg Germany a a Aid squandered a recent 60 minutes program reported that the . Government and England each give $60 million annually in Aid to the african country of Malawi. The program exposed the opulent lifestyle of the life president and detailed the exorbitant spending sprees of the president and his staff in England which take place two to three times a year. It also reported the High mortality starvation and poverty the people of Malawi suffer. This clearly shows that the Aid is not going to the populace but for the ruling Powers to live extravagantly. As a taxpayer my concern is twofold the amount of this Aid which is totally excessive based upon the needs existing in our own country and the abuse of this Aid which is obviously unsupervised. When such flagrant abuse is so obvious Why Isnit this Aid stopped and the Money turned Back into our own country to help Abate the High mortality starvation and poverty of american citizens i am not opposed to foreign Aid for third world countries. I believe it is the moral and Christian responsibility of world Powers. However i am strongly opposed to excessive amounts being allocated and then that excessive amount being wasted through graft and greed rather than being used for the care of the people. I urge All readers to write to their House members or senators asking that this Aid be investigated and the abuse stopped. I also urge you to ask that a push for Domestic Aid programs be sup ported to Benefit our own country and the citizens of the United states. A Connie Roddy Munich Germany constitutional basis a recent letter sought to a put aright a remember the Constitution and its foundation the Bill of rights Are designed to protect the minority from the majority a in reply to a letter about religion in the military. If the Bill of rights is not the foundation of the . Constitution then i Challenge anyone to remove the Bill of rights and see if the Constitution will sink into mud or stand steady 200 years from 1991. Were the landowning educated pursuers of property such As Jefferson Paine Banneker or other founding fellas of the minority or majority among the British colonists was taxation without representation More a Burden on the uneducated landless property less majority of British subjects or on the Plantation owners merchants and clergy minority the abolition of slavery and the inclusion of women As Well As the miraculous survival of the people the original and inalienable Landom tit should provide an example of Protection a from the majority a As article 5 of the Constitution envisioned. Perhaps those who feel Freedom of expression a is dangerous untrue and must not be tolerated Quot would feel less threatened if instead of seeing the word a foundation Quot they could read Between the lines and see the word sub conscience. A John Briggs in Ornburg Germany necessary separation the author of the letter a poor role Model a needs to instead of telling other people to do their Homework Check himself. His letter made it obvious that he needs some schooling of his own. Malcolm x knew civil rights was nothing but a trick and pacifier and that no Good would come of it. And no Good has come of it for the Black Man. It has benefited More caucasians than it has us. It has benefited More homosexuals than it has us. It has benefited More women that it has the Black men women and children who were killed for the passing of it. The writer stated that Malcolm x was a Leader of the Black number one there is no such thing As a Black i As a Muslim resent this derogatory terminology. In be never heard of a White muslims a so Why do you insist on Labelling Black members of islam As such a Black Muslim was a Label applied by caucasians to the members of the nation of islam in the ?T50s. Separating from evil and injustice is not a prejudiced a As the author implied it is intelligence. If anyone disagrees then i suggest they take it up with Noah Moses lot and All the other prophets who separated from their enemy that continually oppressed them and the god that guided them to Freedom.
