Her Mother had died and no one would discuss her feelings with her. I know just How she feels because my Mother died of cancer when i was 10 and no one listened to me either. This happened 37 years ago but the pain is still there. Back in the 1950s, people did no to talk openly about death especially to children. This was made dear to me two weeks after my mom died when i was feeling very sad. My father told me that if i could t put a smile on my face and act Happy he d find me another place to live. After that 1 was very careful never to cry or express my grief to anyone. I was afraid my dad would find out and Send me away. Over the years.
