Nor do i agree with the implication that people who express concern for their future have enlisted any deceit in proclaiming their love of the military. Although nowhere in your military contract does it guarantee you a 20-year career it has Long been used by recruiters and base career advisers As a Selling Point for military service. People who plan for a military career which was until recently encouraged naturally look Forward to their retirement benefits for their future Security. The fear and frustration Felt by people Laid off from jobs in the private sector Are no different from that which is Felt by military personnel caught in the current draw Down. The military is a unique profession in which selfless service plays an important role. I done to think any career military person looks at it As a welfare state.
