A Pilot error caused the crash of a Kentucky air National guard transport plane that killed 16 people in february a newspaper has reported. The Evansville courier quoting military sources reported sunday that the c-130 Hercules crashed because the Crew failed to maintain proper airspeed causing the plane to stall and literally drop from the sky. All five Crew members and 11 people on the ground were killed feb. 6 when the plane slammed into a hotel restau rant Complex one mile South of Evansville regional Airport. No mechanical problems were found in the c-130 during two separate air Force investigations according to military sources who have seen the Accident report. The Crew was on a routine training Mission and was simulating engine failure during a Low approach Over the Airport moments before the disaster. The courier confirmed the findings after conversations with military sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
