I received one of the packages on feb. 20.1 finally received the other package on March 12. I do not know How the United states postal system can be so screwed up. The address was the same on both of the packages and All of the labels were legible. This is not the first time this has happened to me and i am sure it is not the last. I wish that instead of raising the prices on Stamps the postal service should educate its employees about handling the mail More efficiently. I am sure that any 5-year-old child can sort the mail faster than the postal employees can. A airman 1st class John m. Lam or. Raf Mildenhall England a Check bouncing is wrong i am very upset about the House of representatives personnel who Are involved with the bad Check writing. Here in the army writing bad checks is a crime. Isnit that also True for civilians i have seen people go to jail or kicked out of the service for writing worthless checks. These people lawmakers do not deserve to be our leaders. They feel that if they admit to their a mistake a everything will be All right. If that is the Case everyone Ever convicted of this crime should be released. One of the Check writers wrote More than $92,000 in worthless checks. We Are taught in the service that writing a Check for any amount More than what is actually in the account is a serious offence. Offenders have their id cards Over stamped cannot Cash checks and sometimes go to jail. What these people have done is wrong and they should pay the Price. A sgt. . Schultz bad Kissinger Germany rights for victims i have had it with criminals having All the rights in the United states. How about some rights for the victims i have a Radical idea that i feel will help curb criminal activities in our great country. The Only people who will find. _ Quot Mil the crimes. It upsetting Are the 5 percent who com today such things As special scholarships and jobs Are set aside for Jack americans As Well As american indians in an Effort to compensate for the wrongs done to them. For this reason the age old cliche of a what goes around comes around is undoubtedly apparent in this Case. I feel a listing of All crimes and punishments should be Given to All americans and posted on All government buildings and any stores that want to Post it. An example of the list would be a crime punishment murder death rape 20 years hard labor armed robbery 20 years hard labor with this list sentencing would be automatic after finding someone guilty As charged. Does this reduce the Justice system to Black and White decisions if i rape a woman i either committed the crime or i did no to. Black or White. A Rick. Johns Raf Lakenheath England a a what goes around i am writing in response to the woman who complained about Blacks having things such As miss Black America Black magazines Black clubs and Black history month and i agree with her. It is reverse discrimination that adds to bitterness and racial tension in the United states today. But were you around before the late ?T60s? Whites had their own toilets drinking facilities waiting rooms and the better Section of courthouses restaurants and in heritage on the Issue of discrimination id like to say that in order to resolve a problem it must first be acknowledged. There is no doubt that it is hard for a non minority person to understand the full Impact of racial discrimination but to constantly deny that it exists is suppressing reality. My question to a reverse discrimination is How can african americans discriminate against non minorities by having a miss Black America Black clubs Black magazines and Black history month a when throughout history non minorities have done the very same thing and it was considered a fall rights arid i might add that had african americans been allowed to participate in some of these activities with non minorities from the beginning maybe there be such a division today. I think we All possess the need to belong and or to have activities with which we can identify no matter what ethnic background. Therefore i feel that All people should be Able to celebrate their ancestral heritage in any form they choose Law abiding of course. Let them be proud and done to discourage them by your ignorance. A Deneen Westbrook Stuttgart German unequal consideration i was surprised to read a letter to the letters to the editor use my new family member preference. In this Day of budget cuts you would think the government services would give people who stay Here with their spouses the same consideration As people who accompany them. All i can say is for those of you out there in the same boat exercise your constitutional rights and let your congressional members know what a happening Here. We Are still . Citizens and we should have the same rights to equal consideration for employment. A Diane m. Roby bad Kreuz Nach Germany Nixon right on Russia the big question in the 1950s was a who lost China a lets Hope the big question of the present decade wont be a who lost Russia a like him or not Richard Nixon was right on target when he recently blasted president Bush and other Western leaders for their a Penny anted approach regarding the democratic revolution in the former soviet Union. The Western Alliance could do a lot More to help its one time enemy develop a Market driven democracy. A Chance like this May never come again. It take much for Russia to Tumble Back into totalitarianism with far reaching consequences. While operation provide Hope was a Noble gesture it was Only cosmetic. Instead of visionary leadership the Western democracies and the United states in particular seem to be pandering to the shortsighted views of the a a let stake care of our own first crowd a As if we All did no to live in a global Village growing smaller every Day. Nixon summed it up pretty Well when he said that communism May have lost the cold War but we can to claim to have won it yet. I recently separated from the army Here in Europe and became a family member and i am currently searching for a Job. I am being penalized by the co civilian personnel office and Naf non appropriated fund policies of giving family member preference to those applicants who posed transferred on their sponsors orders. This Means that even if in a a highly qualified applicant a family member with the family member preference even if less qualified will get the position. In these times of draw Down and base closings its getting harder to find a Job. The fact that local nationals hold Many of the positions makes it even tougher for people like me to get a Job. The Only alternative to this problem would be for me to use my 180-Day return option and have the government pay for me to go Home and then turn around and come Back a just so i can meeting new people and pen pals Between the Ages of 2 a Pauline Cameron rat 4 Block 1 Hunsley Grove Matson Gloucester gl1 9ln England i am 26 years old and my hobbles Are going out going Lor walks and window shopping.
