All of the stories in the Book Are crafted around the title theme an anglers a Home  the concept has a dual connotation. Sometimes it is the water nearest the writers Home and most often fished. Occasionally it is a Pond or Stream literally in his or her Back Yard. But other writers in this anthology View the concept More symbolically. For them Quot Home water Quot has Little to do with geographic proximity but rather is the place closest to their hearts a Quot Home Quot to dreams and memories. The stories take the Reader on a literary Angling Odyssey to Waters As Distant and diverse As Colorado a South Platte River a Pond on novelist Vance bourjaily Lay a Iowa farm and the shallows of the Marquesas keys. I retired from the army on dec 31, 1986. I started working for Dodds in september 1987.1 was told of the benefits i would be entitled to and one of these was Home leave which can a be taken every two years. I was also told by the i processing person that because i retired in Europe and found employment in the year i was entitled and the first year would be waived which made me eligible for the following Yearin 1990,1 called the civilian personnel office at Frankfurt and asked what i needed to do to apply for Home leave since i work for Dodds i had to take the leave in the summer during school break. Onan 24, 1992,1 went to co to re Check on this because i wanted to go Back to the United states this year. I was told that i did t qualify for this entitlement. I was told things work on an individual basis. I know retirees who retired before and after me and get this leave. A Benefit determination made by this office on sept. 28,1987, clearly stated that you Are eligible to negotiate a transportation agreement Law the joint travel regulations volume ii which would also entitle you to a round trip renewal agreement travel As explained in your transportation agreement which you signed. The Benefit determination also states that you Are not eligible for Home leave versus renewal agreement travel which Are two separate entitlements. Home leave is leave that May be used while in the United states in place of annual leave. Renewal agreement travel is the actual round trip travel for which orders Are issued that an employee is entitled to take approximately every two years providing they meet the regulatory requirements.
