Strike three came when civilian personnel said that since i fell into none of the employment preference groups i could Only compete for a Job if there were no equally qualified applicants in any of the preference groups. In other words i could Only come out on a Job list if there were no qualified government service employees or spouses who had applied for the Job. My six years of service As a military officer meant less to the department of defense than if 1 had spent those years As a housewife. However not All the news is bad. 1 was told by veterans affairs that when i go to the employment office in the slates i wont have to stand in the regular Long line with the other civilians.
