Iba compiled a record of 655-316 at Oklahoma state and a 767-338 Mark Overall. He led the cowboys to National championships in 1945 and 1946, and coached the . Olympic team to Gold medals in 1964 and 1968. He also was the olympic coach in 1972 when the United states failed to win the Gold medal for the first time. The . He spent four seasons at Maryville then spent one season at the University of Colorado before taking Oyer at Oklahoma state then called Oklahoma a amp a. In 1942, Iba recruited 7-footer Bob Kurland. During Kurland s four seasons Oklahoma a amp a went 99-22 and won the consecutive National championships. The trademarks of Iba s teams were Strong defense and a deliberate offence.
