Separate investigations were con ducted by army criminal investigation come the 69th and the 98th area support group in Wurzburg. The results were forwarded to the senior tactical commander in Gie Belstadt col. Gregory a. Rountree who also is the commander of the 69th. A colonel Rountree evaluated the evidence and circumstances surrounding the incident. In All three investigations and determined that judicial action was unwarranted a Bridges told the stars and stripes on thursday. A commanders have taken appropriate action necessary a Bridges said. He elaborate on what constituted appropriate action and said that release of information on nonjudicial punishment and administrative actions is prohibited by the privacy act. Bridges and 7th medical come officials in Heidelberg Germany would not release the autopsy results without the permission of next of Kin citing army policy. Lynch from Forest City ark., was pulled from the Airfield swimming Pool and resuscitated at poolside after soldiers noticed he had been under water for some time. Witnesses estimate Lynch had been submerged Between two and five minutes Bridges said before a lifeguard and another Soldier pulled him out. There were no ambulances stationed at the Pool or the site of the organizational Day picnic. Medical assistance from the Gie Belstadt clinic arrived 10 minutes after being summoned Bridges said. Lynch was taken from the Pool to the Gie Belstadt clinic in an administrative vehicle belonging to the clinic and then transferred to the 67th Eviae Hospital. According to Bridges Lynch was transferred to the German Hospital for specialized care for his deteriorating condition the Day he died but tie was pronounced dead about 5 .
