Rhein main was the women s Champion with 261 Points and Pitburg won the men s Competition with 12.3 Points. Helena Black of Ramstein broke two of the five women s records that fell in the Csc championships. Black the women s championship map who ran in the senior category capture records in the 400 and 1500 meters. Her time of 1 minute 5.78 seconds bettered the old record of 1 32 in the 400, and a 5 35.21 finish beat the old record of 5 37.08 in the 1500 meters. Other events All in the open division where records fell javelin Dawn Lovely of Pitburg 39.95 meters 22.23 200 meters Rhonda Strong of Ramstein 26.74 seconds 27.42 High jump Laura Larkin of Pitburg 1.45 meters 1.25. Nine Csc individual men s records also fell. John Register of Pitburg the men s map broke records in the senior men s 110-meter hurdles 14.87 16.31 400-meter hurdles 52.79 54.08 400 meters 49.02 51.05 and the Long jump 7.08 meters 6.77.mike Bennett of Pitburg competing in the open division set records in the shot put 14.7meters 14.07 and the discus 50.16 meters 44.78. Kmic came right Back in the Bottom of the sixth with a single and two walks to Load the bases but failed to score. It was three up and three Down for saudi during its last Chance at Bat. Kmic threatened to Send the game into extra innings if not pull out a win when Gordon olde got a Wal with runners at first and second and one out. Lopez hit a line drive to right Field for a single bringing Dan Fry Home to close the Gap by one. With bases loaded again Jose Carabello struck out for the second out. The Burden now rested on Eiff it shoulders. Unfortunately a chopper to second base was All he could mus Ter before being thrown put at first to end the game. Saudi scored Early with two runs in the first when Chris Robles hit a chopper to left Center Field that brought Home Gorka and John Barry. It was t until the Bottom of the fourth when pm scored three runs to take the Lead. With one run Al ready in olde cracked one to right Field enabling two More runners to Cross Home plate. Gorka who went the seven inning distance gave up 12 hits struck out five and allowed five walks. Eiff was credited with the loss. I could t be prouder said Chandler of his team which is made up primarily of americans whose parents work in saudi Arabia to psyche saudi up for the upcoming world series at Kissimmee fla., in August Chandler told his play ers that he will shave off Nis Mustache off if they win just one game in the tournament
