Lyubov Egorova of Russia who won three Gold and two Silver medals at the 1992 Albertville games finished second in 41 03.0. Women s 15-k Nina Gavriluk took the Bronze medal in 41 10.4. She held that position throughout the race. Dicenta whose previous Best came a year ago in the world championships when she was a Silver medallist in the 30 Kilometre freestyle led Egorova by More than 38 seconds at the 7.1-k checkpoint. Egorova who is tied for the Lead in the world cup standings after winning two of five races trailed Dicenta by More than a minute with three Kilometres left of the race. Stefania Belmondo of Italy considered the world s Premier freestyle skier in the past few years finished fourth in 41 33.6. Larissa Lazutin another russian placed fifth in 41 57.6, followed by team mate Elena Valbe in 42 26.6.
