Snow fell in the North Ern great lakes while record heat was reported in the Western Plains. The storm front that battered the East also generated severe weather Over parts of the Midwest and South Early saturday before moving through the East and out into the Atlantic. The melting Snow added to the re Gion s problems triggering flood watches in parts of new York Vermont Massachusetts and Maine. A Strong Low pressure system moving eastward across Canada produced Snow and winds of More than 40 Mph across the Northern great lakes and the Ohio Valley. The wind advisory remained in effect sunday for Northern Ohio West Ern Pennsylvania and West Virginia s Northern Panhandle. Snow was heavy in parts of upper Michigan where 11.2 inches was reported at Ironwood 7 inches at Ramsey and 6 inches at Hubbell and Ontonagon forecasters said. Elsewhere warm air pushed northward along the Rockies. Casper  reported a record High of 76 degrees and Billings mont., tied its Mark with a Reading of 78.
