I tried it with exper vision s Typ Reader a very Good or program and found that paper Max pro Vides a very readable image especially for such a Small fast and frill less drum scanner. On a Page of laser printed copy scanned with Paperman Typ Reader made Only five mistakes. In my admittedly limited experience , that s very Good. Paper Max s output is Black and White Only. And it in t intended for scanning Complex  there is a setting for photographs the manual offers no information in this area. And when i scanned a photograph through it it became obvious it has Little capability in this area. The biggest problem with paper Max is that All fits ease of use and portability comes at a Steep Price $499 list plus in most cases a couple of Hundred dollars or so for a Good or program if you Don thave one. You can get a Good Quality flatbed scanner which will have decent although not top notch or soft Ware for around $500, and it will handle Black and White graphics As Well As text very nicely.
