Hugh Mackey an army Retiree decided to fire the Cannon with the Breech open because of a jammed Shell. Under Mackey s direction heading held a pole against the base of the Shell As Mackey swung a Hammer at the other end to fire the weapon. Mackey was burned on his hands arms and thighs in the blast.
