The cpx called Large play will test seventh army has ability to re act immediately to War time condition Sand control effectively its subordinate commands ail of which will take part. Large play follows a series of exercises that have so far involved Only the seventh army command Post. The six a Day exercise will be the fourth cpx for seventh army he personnel since april but the first involving its subordinate commands. The exercise will be conducted Fromfield command posts throughout the Cen trial and Southern part of the Federal Republic of Germany. No tactical ground Man Euver units will participate in the exercise. Command Post elements of Safe s17th air Force will participate in the exercise in their Normal air support role. They will concentrate on perfect ing internal procedures and exercising their tactical air control Center and direct air support centers. Tactical fighter and reconnaissance aircraft from Safe units As Well As Allied aircraft will provide live operational sorties throughout the exercise i response to tactical requirements. These High Speed Jet aircraft will be making Low level runs on simulated targets scattered throughout Germany. In addition Headquarters staffs of the German ii and Iii corps normally be come a part of seventh army and Cen tag under nato in War time. These staffs and their subordinate divisional staffs will join seventh army on the cpx. The German staffs will be exercised in procedures communication Sand tactical problems on the same basis As other seventh army come  dec. 1, 1966, the merger of he seventh army and he . Army Europe became effective. With the merger most of the functions of seventh army he Are now performed by the combined Headquarters. Root now flying with the 55thtfs at , enlisted in the aviation Cadet program in1956. After graduation from Pri Mary flight training and a yearn Active duty he reverted to civilian life. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of Utah. He finished his medical studies at Bowman Gray school of Medicine Wake Forest University. Winston Salem . An air Force internship at Wright Patterson was followed by a primary course in Aero space Medicine for flight surgeons. In 1965 Root was accepted for flight training at Moody fab a. Upon graduation he was As signed to Luke fab ariz., for advanced training in the f100. After graduation pilots Inthis program Are sent out with an operational Squadron for two years Root said. It has been a real Eye opener for me. Youdon t realize what a Pilot goes through until you expose your self to  Chapman a native of san an Tonio Tex., took his undergraduate work at southwestern University Georgetown Tex. He graduated from Baylor univer sity medical school and earned a master s degree in Public health from the University of California in 1963. A private Pilot since 1962,Chapman joined Root in f100 training at Luke fab in 1965. At Lakenheath he serves Slife support equipment officer for the 494th Squadron. Puma from Wyoming pa., picked up his private License while still in medical school. He s a graduate of Wilkes col lege Wilkes Barre pa., and Hahnemann medical school Philadelphia. I had been trying for flight training for quite awhile. I was really Happy to be accepted when this program opened Puma said. Located outside of the District boundaries the annexes will serve soldiers of isolated unit Sand their dependents in the Bue Ren and Muenster  larger of the two near Muenster is managed by staff sgt. Col. William t. Mcclary 15th my brigade co opened the match last tuesday.
