Tom Gill a sixth Grade teacher at the school said the wooden playground has been constructed to make the students stretch and use their  it is a real Challenge for the smaller first Grade students said Gill who has been supervising the construction project. He said 54 sixth Grade students have had a hand in building the log playground that is set up in triangular designs. It has become a real Confidence build  he said. We designed and built it to build up the proficiency of the  the logs for the playground were delivered to the school last fall. Members of the 1st army div s 16th engr in at nearby Johnson Barracks came to the school and skinned the bark off the logs and dug holes so the logs could be set in the ground. With the Wanner weather the sixth graders cemented the logs in the ground and started building their log playground. Gill said the kids have really done Good work. They have sawed the logs by hand and Learned to Nail them together. They Bent a Good number of the nails in the process. It is really the kid s playground. They did All of the work learning a lot and having fun doing  he said that Between s210 and pm will be spent on the playground before it is completed. The Money for the project was donated by the pts Here. The playground has five different plat forms to which the students can climb then work their Way Down. It is designed so that we can easily add on to it next year Gill said
