Hunt driving a Mclaren m2g, jumped into the Lead As he started from pole Posi Tion and never relinquished it Over the 73 Lap 2.71 mile p Uji International Speedway circuit at the foot of my. Fuji. The 30-year-old briton clocked one hour. 31 minutes 51.68 seconds with an average Speed of 207.840 Kilometres per hour. The Victory increased to three the number of grand prix races Hunt has won this year and placed him fifth in the final Overall standings with 40 Points. Carlos Reutemann of Argentina driving a Ferrari 312t2, placed second and Patrick Degailler of France driving a Tyrrell p34, was third. Degailler had pulled up at one Point and was believed out but got Back into action and moved into the third place finish. The Accident apparently occurred when Villeneuve driving his car at a Speed of More than 300 k.m.h., tried to overtake Peterson and touched Peterson s car.
