She won the 200-Rneter individual Medley in 3 10.43 and the 400-meter freestyle in 6 02.48. She also combined with Elizaabeth Johnson Mary Philbin and Jina Bausch to give Augsburg championships in the 200-meter freestyle and Medley relays. Joyce was declared the outstanding women competitor in the meet. Nurnberg s Anita Mcnabb and ans Bach s Laura Tallman gave Joyce a Good run for the outstanding swimmer award by winning three events apiece.
