A Arnold Galiffa former army All american quarterback and one of the most celebrated athletes in West Point history died tuesday at his Home following a lengthy illness. A native of Donora pa., Galiffa earned 11 varsity letters at West Point in football baseball and basketball and was All Amer Ica in 1949. Galiffa served in the korean War As an aide to Gen. Matthew Ridgeway and Gen. Mark Clark. He also played professional football for the new York giants in 1953 and the san Francisco 49ers in 1954. He ended his professional football career with two years in the Canadian football league. Galiffa is survived by his widow Peggy two daughters Debbie and Joan and a son Thomas
